This Etsy member’s a photographer, but when I was trolling Etsy for my Sunday shopping stroll… this picture brought it all home to me (I was thinking of showing you how easily a prom, wedding, anything feminine window could be created)…
The wonderously creative Etsy-ites can inspire us in our consignment, resale, and thrift shops.
- Why not be inspired by this, for hooks in your dressing rooms?
- Wouldn’t this idea be a great window backdrop? Cork tiles on the window side, to pin displays… and blackboard paint on the shop side, for quotes, testimonials, today’s specials. Love it!
- Got a handy and exacting handyman? This jewelry hanger could be created in an afternoon.
- And this idea is a winner for a husband chair. I want it!
But most of all, I love Etsy for the care put into displaying the most humble items.
Like this one, a feminine bag photographed on sheet music. Would sheet music be an interesting background for your show cases? Old postcards? Kids’ crayon creations? Pieces of fabric? Black beans? Wood chips? Sea shells?
Or this vintage clothing shop: simple photos done right.
